Ode to Cory’s Birthday
Twenty-two women and one brave fella
Traveled to Truckee for Cory’s birthday gala
Teresa’s T-Pot Pottery threw open its doors
As we descended, art-ready, to paint scores
Of bowls and tea pots and cups and dishes
And to dine happily on PB&J - utterly delicious!
Cory opened her gifts with daughter Teresa by her side
Every gift made her happy, especially a photo of J. Depp
Cuddling up next to her, increasing her pep
Level so greatly that in her pink tu-tu she danced
With tu-tu adorned friends. They all pranced.
Then Cory cut her cake made by Riley the Queen
Of Baking, whose two tiers we declared fantastic,
Delirious, yummy cuisine.
To Teresa we’re grateful for letting us play
In her wonderful studio the whole darn day.
And to Cory, our sweet birthday friend,
So generous, so funny, so special – I want to extend
My own deepest thanks for a day I intend
To remember forever. Xxoo
