Pink Friday~Pink Collage

I have been having lots of fun in "my studio" in Grass Valley.
I completed this collage this afternoon.
I took my good friend Stacy at Golden Bird Knits advise and just let go and let it happen.
It worked and I had so much fun. Can you see the bright pink ribbon around the canvas edge?

I painted many, many coats of paint since I was having so much fun!

As you know, I love buttons so wanted to have some on my collage.

Music is important to me since My Guy is a professional musician.
The little rose/butterfly card is from Stacy.

And, a poem seemed to be a must.

More buttons and colorful yarn.

I love the color of this flower.
Don't you adore the lady on the stamp and her flowing gown?

On my way back to San Francisco tomorrow. I am ready for some cooler weather.
My Guy and I are going to the Tut Exhibit next week.
Thanks for stoppy by~Dogwood

It's lovely, Dogwood. Just beautiful. I like the combination of the soft pink, green and blue. The buttons with the fiber looks great! The torn sheet of music also looks good along with the poem and flowers. I'm at work, but now I want to go home and make one, too :o)

Hope you enjoy the King Tut exhibit. I remember seeing it when I was about 12 years old or younger and it was such a big deal-- we waited in line forever to get inside the museum. Did you see it all those years ago, too? I understand they have added to it quite a bit.

Wow - Beautiful!

I also saw the Tut exhibit - in SF, actually! I loved it then, but dashed through it too fast. Perhaps I will get another try some time. make sure you tell us about it.

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, Dogwood. I'm glad you like the cards I sent. You are such a good friend and I can't tell you how happy I am and how fortunate I feel to have had you in my life for so many years. Here's to many more decades of friendship (raising my glass ... of water :o)
