The Painted Lidden Dish

It was another fun day at my daughter's studio T Pots Pottery in Truckee CA.I painted this lidded bowl using an ususual technique.
1. Paint bright colors on the side of the dish and the top of the lid.
2. Wrap yarn around the edge of the dish
and on the lid where the bright color was painted.
3. Paint both pieces black.
4. When the black paint is dry, remove the yarn.
5. Fired in the kiln.
Smile.
I really like the end result.
Have a nice weekend...Dogwood
