Tutorial~Decorated Carrier

Want a multi-purpose colorful, decorated carrier?
You can have one by making it yourself in just a few hours or less.
You probably already have most,
if not all, of the needed supplies.

Currently, my decorated carrier is enjoying "top-billing"
on the little wooden bench in the entry hall.

Your will need a carrier from a six pack of your favorite beverage.

This is what I used for my decorated carrier.
OK...let's get started.

***You will need***
Collage/scrapbooking paper
Sissors/paper cutter & glue/glue gun
Strapping tape
~Emblishments~
Glitter
Buttons
Ribbon

***Roll-up you sleeves....OK, we're ready***
First, reinforce the bottom of the carrier with strapping tape.
You will be decorating all four sides of the carrier.
It's this simple.
Trace sides of carrier on your paper and cut out.
Glue paper on sides of carrier.
Collage and layer paper for added touch.
Embelish with glitter and buttons.
Tie on a color ribbon.

The best part of this project is that you can let your
creative juices flow and go for it.
There are no rules.
Enjoy and have lots of fun!

There are so many ways to use your decorated carrier.
In the picture above it holds my desk items.

What about holding some of your crafting tools?!
It would be the perfect decoration for you studio work space.

Or, in your sewing area holding your quilting fabric pieces.

The decorated carrier is the perfect wrap for
a gift for your special person.

Having a party? Use your decorated carrier for
the silverware and napkings!

I love my decorated carrier with bright red flowers.
So nice for the fall season for a festival feeling in my home.
I just can't decide which side of my carrier I like best.
But, I do know that I love nature and birds.
I love this project because it is "GREEN."
Recycle is an important word!
P.S. With the Holidays coming up soon, maybe you will want to make one for Halloween, Thanksgiving and December!

This has been fun. See you again soon.

Great ideas for how to use a carrier! And thanks for the tutorial, it's wonderful. I like the idea of using it to hold craft tools in your creative workspace. Using it for silverware and napkins is a good idea, too. Wow, I wish I had one of those ... maybe I need to start drinking non-alcoholic beer :o)
